Winangay System

All Training Services NSW Aboriginal Initiatives focus on providing further education, workplace mentoring, improving access to employment and training and creating business opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and are funded by the NSW Department of Education

To receive support under any of the Training Services NSW Aboriginal Initiatives, participants must agree to the following Terms and Conditions of Service:

Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Definitions

Department means the NSW Department of Education.

Service Provider means any organisation the Department contracts with to provide Training Services NSW Aboriginal Initiatives.

You/Client means any individual intending to start a business or a small business owner or operator who receives any part of the Services under the Initiatives, either through a Service Provider or directly by the Department.

2. Client Information

The Department will collect and retain information You provide in the Department’s online Winangay system. This may include, but is not limited to:

(a) information You provide when registering for the program;

(b) information You provide through evaluation and/or Client satisfaction surveys to the Department;

(c) information You provide from third-party providers; and

(d) information Service Providers record in the Department’s online Winangay system about the support they provide You with and any outcomes resulting from that support.

3. Confidential business information

Service Providers will use information that You choose to share with them in order to provide confidential, tailored advice and services.

You do not have to provide any business or personal information to the Service Provider if you do not wish to do so, however, this may reduce the ability of the Service Provider to fully understand Your business and provide You with the most appropriate or relevant advice or support.

All information stored in the Winangay system may be accessed by the Department. The Department will, however, notify the Client if the Department accesses private information, including, for example, individual records.

4. Your right to Privacy

The New South Wales Government's privacy practices are regulated by the New South Wales Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (the Act).

In collecting personal information associated with the Winangay system, the NSW Department of Education only intends to collect personal information for the purpose of administering and evaluating Training Services NSW Aboriginal Initiatives. The Department will not collect any more information than is necessary for it to fulfil these functions.

5. Liability

The Department accepts no responsibility, and will accept no liability for the accuracy, reliability or correctness of any advice, recommendation, or information a Service Provider provides You.

6. Program Evaluation and Success stories

The Department may engage third party providers in order to evaluate and promote the Winangay system and Training Services NSW Aboriginal Initiatives. You and Service Providers must make all reasonable efforts to assist third party providers with these activities.
